Custom-Made Boiserie in Bari

We've been designing and manufacturing custom wood paneling in Bari since 1971. Tailored paneling for bedrooms, living rooms, hotels, and commercial spaces—from technical drawing to assembly, all in our workshop on Via Quaranta.

Three generations of master cabinetmakers, dozens of wood paneling installed in Puglia every year. Walls become architecture, spaces take on identity.

What is custom boiserie?

A boiserie is a wooden cladding applied to the walls. When it's custom-made, it's not just a decoration: it's an architectural element that integrates functions, lighting, and proportions designed for your specific space.

Turn the wall into the protagonist. What was once just plaster becomes a living painting of wood, light, and matter.

Integrate hidden features. Headboards, storage units, suspended shelves, lighting, and even bedside tables can be hidden inside the paneling.

It defines the character of the environment. A vertically slatted panel is Scandinavian. A reeded panel is refined. A rectangular panel is contemporary classic.

It lasts a generation. Well-crafted wood never goes out of style — it ages and improves.

The typologies we produce

Vertical slat wainscoting. The most popular style of 2026. Thin slats (5-10 cm) in oak, walnut, or ash run from floor to ceiling. A warm, contemporary, Scandinavian effect.

Reeded boiserie. Half-rounds placed side by side create a ribbed effect. Sophisticated, tactile, ideal behind the bed with grazing lighting.

Rectangular panel boiserie. Classic style reinterpreted. Thin-framed panels, perfect for tone-on-tone color drenching.

Boiserie with integrated headboard. Tailored solution that incorporates headboard, suspended bedside tables and lighting in a single element.

Drenching color boiserie. The same shade of walls, doors, and paneling creates a captivating and dramatic effect.

Mixed material boiserie. Combinations of wood and fabric, wood and stone, wood and brass for high-end projects.

The essences we work with

Oak. The most popular. Natural, oiled, or brushed. Warm and contemporary.

National walnut and canaletto walnut. For important environments, profound elegance.

Ash and American elm. Light shades with marked veining, perfect for Nordic styles.

Chestnut and olive tree. Authentic local Apulian essences for local projects.

Lacquered. For those looking for full colors and modern finishes — matte, satin or leather effect.

Where can we apply them?

Bedrooms. The classic—wainscoting behind the bed, often integrated with the headboard. It creates a powerful focal point and creates a sense of intimacy.

Living and day areas. Wainscoting behind the TV, next to the fireplace, or along an entire wall defines the room's atmosphere.

Bathrooms. Moisture-resistant wood paneling (oiled oak, teak) for a spa-like bathroom effect.

Entrances and corridors. Boiserie on long walls to give rhythm and nobility to passageways.

Hotels, restaurants, bars. Certified fireproof paneling for characterful commercial environments.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does wainscoting make a room smaller?

It depends on how it's designed. Well-proportioned wainscoting, especially in a drenching color, can actually make a room appear larger because it eliminates boundaries and adds depth. The wrong wainscoting (too heavy, too dark for a small space) can actually compress the space.

Can the wainscoting be removed if I move house?

The wainscoting is solidly fixed to the wall and is generally designed to last. It can still be removed, but the marks on the wall will be significant. If you know you'll be moving soon, consider alternative solutions.

How long does it take to make a boiserie?

From the approved project, standard wainscoting takes an average of 4-8 weeks. For complex projects (with integrated lighting, high-quality materials, or large dimensions), the time can reach 10-12 weeks.

Do you work outside Bari?

Yes. We create wainscoting throughout Puglia (Lecce, Brindisi, Taranto, Foggia, Matera) and for larger projects we can reach any location in Southern Italy.

Do you work with architects and interior designers?

Of course. A good portion of our work comes through design studios. We create wainscoting based on the designer's drawings, maintaining professional confidentiality and artisanal quality.
